Arthur Portona serves as assistant curator of AI biodiversity at UF's Florida Museum of Natural History. His research and practice integrate computer vision, machine learning and natural-history collections: he develops AI approaches to classify, curate, and analyze vast digital specimen archives and biodiversity datasets, thereby enabling new insights in evolution, ecology and museum science.
