Equipping an AI-Ready Workforce

In 2022, the university established centralized leadership of AI academic efforts via the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence Academic Initiative (AI2) Center.

Our contributions to training an AI-ready workforce that strengthens our nation’s economy and security include:

  • Coordinating AI academic program and certificate development
  • Identifying opportunities for faculty and students to engage with AI
  • Organizing AI seminars and conferences
  • Sharing knowledge and resources on teaching AI
  • Partnering with UF’s Career Connections Center, Florida’s colleges and universities, SEC universities, and private industry
  • Overseeing the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan, the key element of UF’s accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission of Colleges (SACSCOC).
  • Managing the AI Learning Academy

Invite the AI² Center to speak to your class, at your event, or to your student organization. We can send staff or student representatives to present on a variety of topics, ranging from General AI Opportunities to a more specific topic like how to earn the AI Medallion. Please note that requesters are limited to two (2) presentation requests per semester.
