Teaching With AI

UF started teaching AI university wide in 2020. Our goal is to help all students, regardless of discipline, gain the skills to be successful in careers that are rapidly being remade by this technology. As AI continues to evolve, so will our approach to teaching it across our 16 colleges.

Preparing Our Students

Building an AI-ready workforce begins in the classroom. Our commitment to AI Across the Curriculum means we have experiences and resources that can help you, whatever you teach, from agriculture to history to writing or zoology.

We believe teaching artificial intelligence broadly across all disciplines helps a larger and more diverse group of students have the knowledge they need to be successful in careers that are changing with AI.

We’ve learned a lot in our implementation of AI across 16 colleges and wish to share with you how to benefit from our experiences.

Strengthening All of Our Institutions

The way a field incorporates AI varies with the problems that field tackles. Robotics, large language models, machine learning, generative AI—all or any of these might be essential skills for your graduates. This requires working across the curriculum and between institutions to share knowledge and suggest next steps.

Whether you are new or seasoned at using AI, we have resources available to you such as:
