Major: Health Science

AI Research Interests: The intersection of technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation in medical diagnostics and therapeutic development. Currently involved in projects focused on applying AI to medical imaging for early disease detection, particularly in type 1 diabetes (T1D). I work with Dr. Sarah Kim's team to implement deep learning models for whole slide imaging (WSI) analysis, quantifying islet composition, immune cell infiltration, and volumetric changes in pancreatic tissue. This work aims to improve predictive models for T1D progression, enhance patient stratification, and guide personalized therapeutic strategies.

Faculty Mentor: Dr. Sarah Kim, research assistant professor, Department of Pharmaceutics. Her research projects include data-driven computational modeling and AI approaches to improve and fast-track drug development.

Status: Junior, Spring 2025
