Assistant Professor, College of Journalism and Communications
Won-Ki Moon is an Assistant Professor in the College of Journalism and Communications and an affiliated faculty member of the AI2 Center at the University of Florida. His research focuses on human–AI communication, responsible AI, consumer trust in algorithmic systems, and the social and ethical implications of AI adoption.
At UF, he has developed and taught multiple courses centered on artificial intelligence, including Collaboration With AI for Better Communication and Beyond the Human: AI, Hybrid Minds, and the Changing Nature of Communication. His teaching combines hands-on AI literacy with broader questions about how emerging technologies reshape human communication, relationships, judgment, and society. His courses also encourage students to consider its social consequences and to use AI as a lens for reflecting on what it means to be human and how technology might contribute to a better society.
He also seeks to integrate research and teaching more closely by bringing emerging AI research into the classroom while studying teaching practices and student learning to continually improve AI education.
