Students interested in IST must possess strong quantitative skills as well as a passion for computers and technology.

Description The undergraduate minor in computational biology / bioinformatics. Open to any student in a biology-related major. Currently focused on 'traditional' bioinformatics - sequence analysis, BLAST, phylogeny, functional genomics, metagenomics, etc - rather than AI. But it's likely that many of the new AI courses will be added as approved electives for the minor.
