Associate Director


Mackenzie Donovan serves as the Associate Director at the AI² Center, where she leads operations, programs, and strategic initiatives. Since the center’s founding in 2022, Mackenzie has been instrumental in overseeing its operational and programmatic development, advancing the University of Florida’s mission to make AI education accessible to all students—regardless of major or prior programming experience.

She plays a key role in supporting AI faculty training, developing new AI courses, and fostering student engagement across disciplines. In her work, Mackenzie manages administrative and event functions, oversees project and budget operations, and leads major initiatives such as the AI Across the Curriculum reaffirmation Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) and the AI Learning Academy. She ensures efficient operations, thoughtful strategic planning, and strong collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining the AI² Center, Mackenzie managed projects, events, and donor relations at the UF Warrington College of Business. With a background in nonprofit work, she brings expertise in microfinance, financial literacy, policy advocacy, and restorative justice.
