Associate Director of Operations, Programs and Initiatives


Mackenzie Donovan serves as the Associate Director of Operations, Programs, and Initiatives at the AI² Center. Since the center's founding, Mackenzie has been instrumental in overseeing all operational and programmatic aspects. She is dedicated to advancing UF’s initiative to make AI education accessible to all students, regardless of their major or prior programming experience. Her efforts include supporting AI faculty training, developing new AI courses, and fostering student engagement in AI.

In her role, Mackenzie manages administrative and event functions, oversees project and budget operations, and leads the AI Across the Curriculum reaffirmation quality enhancement plan (QEP) and the AI Learning Academy initiatives. She ensures efficient operations, strategic planning, and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Prior to joining the AI² Center, Mackenzie managed projects, events, and donor relations at the UF Warrington College of Business. With a background in nonprofit work, she brings expertise in microfinance, financial literacy, policy advocacy, and restorative justice. Mackenzie is a proud UF Gator alum and passionate advocate for AI education.
